When I visited Tallinn in 2010, there was a website offering information to tourists. Some kind of cyborg, bi-mechanical panel would rev and whirr into position, sounds and all, and hover over this digital ocean, and then this hypnotic synth loop kicked in, as the heavily stylised content would unfold like some kind of futuristic portal. It was like someone on the tourist board had gotten their son or daughter to do a site because they were "into" computers...and I loved it. Unfortunately the site has since been taken down, but in the meantime I made my own version...
